There are four steps into our building, which is then all on one floor. We have a ‘rise & fall’ workstation in the workshop kitchen to improve accessibility for attendees. If you would like to book this, please contact us directly on either 07842 073888 or email.  If you need a carer to attend with you we are able to provide a free place, thanks to funding from Calderdale Short Breaks – please mention this when booking.

Real Bread Basics

A fantastic opportunity to develop new skills and unleash your true potential, surprise yourself, and wow! friends and family with your amazing baking.

This is a great introduction to the basics of breadmaking. In an informal setting with hands-on kneading, shaping, and baking.

Feel confident to try again at home after making our white and brown loaves and rolls plus delicious Italian focaccia.

Junior Animal Bake with Liz

How could animal lovers avoid this fun-packed workshop!!

Wouldn’t it be great if we could make edible animals – well with Liz we can. Join her in this informal workshop to make a trio of your favourite animals, in the form of buns. Aimed at our younger bakers who would like to add a little fun into teatime.

There will be ‘Porky’ Pigs, some sweet little ‘Tweety Birds’ and ‘Tall Tiger Giraffes’

Alexandra’s Sourdough Workshop

Welcome back to Alexandra of ‘Crows Rest’ Bakehouse in Wakefield. a microbakery making and selling bread without additives or improvers, with organic flours and traditional methods.

In this full day sourdough workshop, we will be looking at working with additions in a wheat dough as well as how to make delicious hybrid baguettes, 100% rye bread and a few other bakes. Suitable for home bakers who have some knowledge of baking sourdough breads.

Traditional Italian Bake with Francesca

Welcome to my workshop. I take great pleasure in baking Italian traditional biscuits and cakes and love to share these recipes.
Today we will be baking two different biscuits; Savioardi, a sweet, crisp and light biscuit used in Tiramisu and a buttery, light and fluffy ricotta biscuit.

Our second bake will be a traditional flourless walnut cake, made with gorgonzola cheese & a drizzle of chestnut honey.

Come along to this informal workshop, taking home some tasty sweet things to enjoy with family and friends.

Italian Christmas Bake with Francesca

Welcome to my workshop. I take great pleasure in baking Italian traditional biscuits and cakes and love to share these recipes.

Together we will be baking some special Christmas treats. Two very different biscuits; a seasonal biscotti, flavoured with orange, cranberry, cardamom & hazelnut and our second biscuit will be Amaretti, those traditionally light and crunchy almond macaroons.

We will also bake a traditional Italian dark, moist and indulgent Chocolate Nut Cake which is often eaten at Christmas.

Come along to our informal workshop, where, in a relaxed atmosphere you can make these delicious treats to take home and share with family and friends.
