Saturday Cafe

The Saturday Cafe latest:

LoveBread has joined forces with youth organisation #iwill, to open an inspirational pay-as-you-feel  cafe run by young people.
The café opens again on 12th Jan 2019  from 9.30 – 1.30, serving a range of homemade brunch items including pancakes, toasties and traybakes.

The Saturday Café  is held at LoveBread community bakery, No7 Martin St, Brighouse  and is open every Saturday

The café is run by a team of 25 young volunteers, aged between 10 and 20, who bake a range of sweet and savoury snacks, serve great tea and coffee and provide a friendly environment for local people and groups to meet. The café is pay-as-you-feel with every penny of the donations going to a charity chosen by the team.

#iwill work with young people across the UK as young as 10, to do inspirational things in their communities to help others.

Over 700 organisations, including LoveBread have pledged #iwill, to encourage young people across the UK to take part in social action.

Working with business, education and voluntary sector partners, the #iwill campaign aims to ensure that all young people can access social action opportunities, whatever their background, as involvement in social action strengthens communities and enhances the skills of young participants.

Charlotte Hill, CEO of Step Up To Serve, the charity which coordinates the #iwill campaign says: “We are delighted that LoveBread has pledged to support our work.’

We are very grateful to Community Foundation for Calderdale and I Will project for funding.
