Junior Bread Club: Summer Holidays

Our popular children’s breadmaking classes run throughout the summer holidays.
We are baking a range of breads from around the world.

Suitable for children aged 5  – 16. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult.

Real Bread: Introduction to Sourdough (sold out)
Sun 15th July
10am – 3pm

Sourdough bread gives you great crust, crumb and flavour plus benefits for health.

We will guide you through:
– making your own starter and feeding it
– flours and fillings
– shaping and baking
– plenty of tips and tricks

Includes proving basket, scraper and bag of organic spelt flour.

Real Bread: Filled and Flavoured
Sun 5th August
10am – 3pm

Want to make your own bread using a range of fillings and flavours, using slow fermentation methods and traditional techniques. We will show you how to work with filled doughs, shape different styles and work with a combination of great ingredients. Suitable for beginners upwards.

Our full programme of breadmaking workshops and other classes will start again in September 2018.

Brighouse Spring Market

We will be at the Brighouse Spring Market on 29th and 30th April.
On Saturday, find us on Commercial St with a stall full of warm bread, including sourdoughs and flavoured focaccias.
On Sunday the Tour de Yorkshire whizzes through Brighouse. Come to the stall to buy flour and breadmaking equipment, plus the chance to enter our competition linked to a very special bike. We will also be sharing a special discount code for our breadmaking classes.

First Friday Drop In – Starts 7 October

Why not join us on the first Friday morning of every month where our community kitchen will be open for breadmaking!

9.30am – 12pm

Recipes, ingredients, equipment and ovens will be available for you to use – bring your enthusiasm and have a go.

These sessions are hosted by one of our volunteers – these are not taught workshops but we will be there for advice and guidance.
